Hello, my friends call me V, which includes you! I am a 15+ year wig wearer with petite measurements, wearing mostly average-size wigs. I have alopecia due to hypothyroidism and menopause. My once thick, coarse dark hair fell out on my pillow, and became fine and thin. Who was that in the mirror, at age 52? Thus began my alternative hair journey. Wearing a topper for two years caused traction alopecia bald spots. Full wigs were needed. Itching and proper fit were real issues, as were monetary concerns.
After one wig shop purchase, I researched the internet, trying to find information and an affordable option. Then my life changed. I discovered a delightful, caring lady who was creating video wig tutorials, long before the YouTube explosion of wig reviewers. Her video education on synthetic hair, combined with her 'real woman' approach and authenticity truly made me feel like I could find 'me' again. She reopened my cosmetology training from years prior but through the world of wigs and making them your own.
My years of creating art, and being a so called 'color theory and design expert', help me to evaluate color and style of wigs for not merely myself but others. My goal is to help women find the right hair and gain self confidences, as another woman did for me. Losing your identity is like losing your inner light. Take back what you lost. Hello, my name is Michelle.  I am a Registered Nurse with a passion for helping people. After a diagnosis of Alopecia, and a brief illness my alternative hair journey began.  With fear and trepidation,  I decided to educate myself on all my options. What I already knew was minimal, and my preconceived notion of what "wigs" looked like terrified me.  My extensive research showed me how far the industry has come and taught me how natural alternative hair can look.  I took everything I knew about myself, embraced my hair loss,took the plunge and purchased my first wig.  Destiny by Belle Tress in Chrome.  It totally changed my life and I haven't looked back since, only ahead to what style and color I would choose next!

As a consultant/stylist for Frannie's Hair, my hope is to use my personal experience to help people as they begin their journey, or are already in their journey, help them overcome any insecurity they may feel about alternative hair and regain their self confidence.
